Open the suitcase, and it instantly transforms into a twin bed. Press another button, and the springs in the twin bed’s legs instantly transform and compress the bed small enough to fit into the suitcase again. Then you just close the suitcase. Unlike existing suitcase beds (if they exist), this one transforms with minimal effort. Filed under: Useful and Utility Patent Comments: 374 Comments |

I was about to invent the 2 in 1 Washer-Dryer, but then I did a quick internet search and realized that it had already been invented: So how about a 3 in 1 Washer-Dryer-Folder? It goes through a wash cycle, then a dry cycle, and finally a fold cycle. Folding machines exist, so the idea is not completely impossible. This washer-dryer combo would simply have a folding machine integrated somewhere in its body. It would leave you with a nice, clean, folded pile of laundry, which would be wonderful. This device distorts the signals to and from all cell phones within a certain radius of you. Perhaps your hearing radius (i.e. anything within hearing distance). It also prevents new calls from coming in. That way, you won’t have to put up with the annoying ringtones of all the cell phones around you. It is great for movie theaters, libraries, and even cars. I don’t know if this device exists already, or if it would be illegal. If it exists, it should be marketed more strongly. If it’s illegal, a legal version should be made that follows all the rules. Toss an old magazine into the magazine autoscanner, and all the articles in it will automatically be scanned. When the autoscanner gets full, you can empty the magazines into your recycling bin. You won’t have any regrets, because if you ever need to refer to an article in an old magazine, you’ll have a copy on your magazine autoscanner. Just plug the magazine autoscanner into your computer to download or search the articles. Filed under: Improbable and Useful and Utility Patent Comments: 10511 Comments |

This hammock lets you sleep peacefully for awhile. Then, at the requested time, it flips over and drops you onto the ground. You set it just like any other alarm clock. It is less annoying than typical alarm clocks in that it does not beep, but it is much more annoying in that it forces you to wake up. Which could be a good thing. This phone charger collects and stores energy as you talk into the phone’s microphone. As you talk into a microphone, your voice generates a voltage. The phone charger would transfer the energy directly into the phone’s battery. The charger is built into the phone, so you don’t have to worry about carrying around extra cables.
